I've been training dogs for over 30 years, and have learnt much from them, with their behaviour and how they communicate with us. I enjoy competing and working with my dogs, be it in obedience competition or Gun dog training, and I love the results I get with my dogs.
Who are the NDTA?
The award winning National Dog Training Academy are the home of positive, reward based training. The NDTA teach that you'll get more out of Fido with positive reinforcement and by rewarding the good behaviour.
And after years of training, I'm a fully qualified and insured dog training instructor who believes in positive reward-based training.

Out of all the dogs I've owned in the last 30 years, Beamish - my black Labrador - has been my greatest inspiration in the world of dog training.
Whilst he started life as the family pet, at the age of 5 I decided to start gun dog training with him at Christchurch & District Gun Dog Club, as I realised Beamish had so much more to give and he needed the mental stimulation - and me come to it!
I soon realised "Hey, Beamish can do this!" and we progressed from gun dog training into obedience and rally competitions. As you can see, Beamish and I became a winning team.
The feeling of having a well-trained dog is second to none. And your journey with your dog could start here! Who knows where the two of you could go?
So what do you want Fido to be? The perfect puppy, the perfect gun dog or the perfect pet? You choose.
